Artisan Award Finalist, 2023

Tatami Dreams by Tavie Belle is announced as a finalist of Artisan Award by Art and Olfaction at Exsence in Milan, Italy on March 31, 2023.

The Art and Olfaction Awards is a highly distinguished recognition of excellence in the field of independent perfumery. The awards are extremely competitive among many outstanding creators from all over the world.

Thank you Art and Olfaction for giving me a dream-daring experience and precious opportunity to be a part of this wonderful journey. It is my great honour and I am grateful to be selected as a finalist, in such competitive field, with countless of talented independent perfumers globally. Four months of blind judging by honourable professionals! Thank you to A+OA team and judges.

Perfumery is art — it is a very challenging journey for an independent/artisanal perfumer, yet there are a lot of worthwhile moments to remember; from batches of trial-and-error here and there, to serious formulations down to a precision of 0.001%; and of course, unexpected events such as accidentally overdosing a fruity accord and turning a marine fragrance into a fruit bomb, or spilling a cloyingly sweet component and turning the studio into a candy-floss carnival for a month straight. Huge shoutout to my family and friends for the unfaltering encouragement and being my pillar of strength since the very beginning. I am also very grateful for all the massive support and generous advice I received from the fragrance community all this time. I have learnt and gained a lot of valuable insights from you all. Thank you.

Just like Tatami Dreams, I will always be pursuing my fragrant dream with a daring heart of constantly exploring, learning, and creating. Once again, thank you Art and Olfaction and congratulations to all finalists. I hope to see you all soon!
